The
Korean Institute of Architects, or KIA, is a professional
society of architects whose mission is to establish and
maintain a high standard of architectural excellence.
The KIA hopes to actively contribute to the promotion
of architecture by inspiring the architects" creativity
and advance the status of architects by enhancing the
society"s understanding of architecture. In order
to meet these goals, the KIA is committed to promoting
architectural events, administering various education
programs, increasing public awareness of architecture,
and stimulating the exchange of information domestically
as well as internationally. The KIA will be instrumental
in the development of architecture by acting as an organizer
and recorder of architectural achievements. The KIA is
determined to play a major role in the elevation of architecture
to its proper place in Korean culture.
